Capture precious memories at Hayes Arboretum.
Hayes Arboretum offers an environment of natural backdrops that are ideal for your photos.
As a private property, we ask that photographers and videographers respect all the rules and regulations of Hayes Arboretum. The Arboretum does not require photography fees. However, the Ronald L McDaniel Auto Tour - which includes landmarks like the Morton Arch and Woodland Chapel - is accessible by car for a $5 fee per vehicle. This fee can be waived for an entire year with a membership through Hayes Arboretum.
In addition, we remind all photographers, videographers, and clients/guests to follow the policies below:
Be respectful of others.
All photoshoots must take place during operation hours.
All pets must be leashed and kept under control at all times.
No carrying of unauthorized forearms or concealed weapons, including replicas.
No alcoholic beverages permitted.
No smoking, vaping, or illicit drug use.
All photo subjects must be fully and appropriately clothed. No swimsuits, lingerie, or underwear. No nudity. Any photography or clothing deemed inappropriate by Arboretum staff will not be allowed.
All photographers are responsible for their clients and their behavior while on property.
Be respectful of the space.
Stay on the trails.
Be courteous and share the trail with other visitors. Do not block trails or roads with vehicles, equipment, or with people.
Do not harm (trampling, picking, collecting) plants and wildlife. This includes not picking flowers to use in the photos, not climbing trees or using them to hang materials, not handling wildlife, and not standing or playing in water features, including the fountain.
Do not bring live plants to photoshoots. We strive to protect our native plant life for future generations, which includes not introducing non-native species, diseases, or pests to our forests and prairies. All plantings are natural spaces and protected as a private property and preserve.
Do not bring large props or furniture.
Photoshoots are not permitted inside buildings on property.
